Q. Which other EAFOL 2016 participant are you most excited about? I am really excited to meet and listen to the many authors that I haven’t had a chance to hear before. Of those I have met before, I would have to say that Petr Horacek and Nicola Davies will be a winning combination! Q. Which book(s) are you reading now? I am reading two books at the moment: The Mysterious Death of Miss Austen by Lindsay Ashford and Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver. Q. Which literary character would you invite to dinner? And why? I think I would invite William from Just William, because he would be sure to make me laugh and get up to some mischief or other. Q. There have been some interesting additions to the dictionary over the years. Which word would you remove? ‘Stress’ as in ‘I’m so stressed!’ Not a new word, but certainly an overused modern expression. Q. Who would write/ illustrate the story of your life? I would have said Maurice Sendak or Edward Ardizzone, but as they are no longer around I’ll settle for Petr Horacek or one of my grandchildren!
