He would be a terrifically interesting dinner companion: gossipy, insightful, witty, amusing, indiscreet and just think what he could tell you about the Persian Wars, the Battle of Marathon, Thermopylae and that extraordinary period of world history that was the fifth century BC and the birth - just about – of Western democracy. Q. There have been some interesting additions to the dictionary over the years. Which word would you remove? 'Christmassy' and ‘festive’.
