What are you most looking forward to at the 2016 Festival?
Being in Dubai, catching up with old friends, eating well… When did you realise you wanted to be a writer? When I was six I wanted to be a travel writer but it took me until I was thirty to get going. What book do you find yourself re-reading most often? The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain. If you weren’t a writer, what would you be? I’ve always fancied being a sniper. And finally, we have a number of aspiring writers attending the Festival. What one piece of advice would you give them? Don’t listen to anyone, just write what you feel, say the things you never say, tell the stories you never tell.
