Why do you think literary festivals are important? They are a celebration of all forms of literature. It is an opportunity for visitors to meet the authors, attend the sessions and participate in a way that is more interpersonal. It’s a great way to network with likeminded people.
Can you share one line from a book or poem that has stayed with you for the longest time? ‘You will never experience the earth with all it’s wonders in this time again. Don’t wait for one last look at the ocean, the sky, the stars or a loved one. Go look now.’

In your opinion, what does 2016 hold for the world of literature? Printed books appear to be gaining popularity again over e-books. I wonder about the impact long term of non-fiction books, it seems, for the moment, that people have drifted from reading and are watching online or podcasts instead. I am also watching the ‘colouring-in’ style books - although this really took off last year, I wonder what else will emerge in the mindfulness and meditation space to keep people 'in the now', which seems to be needed more than ever.
